This update.
Before, I was still miffed since doing the Evil Corruption Route and not being able to fully consume Deryl.
But now, he redeemed himself a bit on that respect by giving something good.
I've seen the Good Hero Route, it's filled with friends, love, kindness, and relationship that you can never get from the ruthless route of Corruption, I just hope there's more use for corruption the future.
At the bare minimum, more schizo talk with the Monsters, considering there's a lot of dialogue lost by eating a lot of characters.

Hate to be that guy but is the drop of 1.0, some time in the future, the big finale or can I ignore version numbers?

Nope. This is one of those "If the project is done, it's done, and onto the next story or continue where it left off on another game." type of game.
Version number doesn't matter.

Had I not fallen in the love pit that this game is when I finally decided to "try" it even with my fear that the horror theme would displease me (it does not!), I would have loved to spend a full week discovering the final releaseGonna go lurk again and stay in waiting mode then.
